Faith Without Works Is Dead

In all things that he does, he prospers

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. (Psalm 1:3)

Here the word prosper means to break out, go over, to push over, be profitable, … (strongs dictionary)

Most people will difine being prosperous with being financial succesfull, but that’s not what it is. It’s not the center of prosperity, but it can be a part of it. Here it more clearly says that you will go up in all that you do, that you will be succesfull. You will go forward with a focus.

This doesn’t mean that you will not have any struggles or problems coming along your way. It means that problems and struggles will not be the parts that will be leading you.

How will you get to that kind of prosperity? How will you break out? How is it possible that everything you do will prosper? The answer is very simple and is found all over in the bible. Psalm 1 tells you how to do that. It tells you not to look or pay attention to the ungodly things or people, but to delight in the law of God. To meditate on it by day and by night.

In Matthew 12:34 Jesus sais that a good heart will bring forth good things. We have to make sure that what goes into our hearts is righteous and good and so prosperity will be part of our life.
